It's Springtime!

It's the most wonderful weather of the year! The sun shines, the breeze blows softly, the birds sing, the flowers bloom, the grass turns green, the shade of a big tree feels like heaven.

I love Spring.  It makes me happy.

The problem is that as soon as that wonderful weather hits and it gets so close to finals and summertime that I can almost taste it, my motivation disappears into thin air.  Homework?  Who wants to do homework?  I'd rather sit outside and read.  Or take a nap in the shade.  Or go on a walk.  Or do anything else other than homework (or cleaning or work). Homework?  What homework?  Yet I'm not able to fully enjoy the beauty around me because there is this nagging little thought in the back of my mind (you should be doing homework. No I shouldn't!  Shut up!) What can I say, I've got spring fever and I can feel summer coming on just around the corner.  My mind is everywhere except on what I should be doing right now.  I'm hoping to find some motivation soon.

"Let’s be honest; it’s rather easy to be busy. We all can think up a list of tasks that will overwhelm our schedules. Some might even think that their self-worth depends on the length of their to-do list. They flood the open spaces in their time with lists of meetings and minutia—even during times of stress and fatigue. Because they unnecessarily complicate their lives, they often feel increased frustration, diminished joy, and too little sense of meaning in their lives." - President Dieter F. Uchtdorf (to read the rest of the article go here.

I think . . .

I think that there is a reason for everything, even if we don't know what the reason is.

I think that patience is one of the hardest things to learn, but one of the most important things in the entire world.

I think I can.

I think I can.

I think that the sun is shining right now and it makes the snow sparkle beautifully.

I think that people come into your life for a reason.

I think that people leave your life for a reason.

I think that someday, my turn will come.  Someday.

I think that I need my work ethic back.

I think I need my confidence back.

I think I need to start working on homework.

Back to School

I'm back up in my little college town.

I've missed it.

Well, I've missed some of it.

School starts back up on Tomorrow.

That means homework starts soon.

Ugh, homework.

And I get to start job searching.

But I also get to hang out with my awesome roommates.

So I guess I shouldn't complain.

And there are some new boys in my ward.

Cute boys.

So we'll see what happens.

Cleaning Music

Today I actually finished my homework before bedtime! It's a pretty big shocker.  So I didn't know what to do with myself, because this doesn't happen often.

So I decided to turn on my music and clean.  I'm currently listening to a playlist of Taylor Swift, Glee, Carrie Underwood, and classic Disney tunes.

I've cleaned the bathroom, the kitchen, and the living room, with the limited supplies I have.

And I've sung/screamed the lyrics to my music and danced around the house.

I'm all dressed up in my Lion King t-shirt that is just a little to small to be seen out in public.

And I'm having so much fun.

 :)

A salesman came to our house and asked if my parents were here.

I said no and as soon as he left I laughed.

 So hard.

And I probably do look like I'm ten years old right now.

And I really don't care.

School Again :)

School has officially started up again and my life has gotten pretty hectic.  There are a thousand things I could be doing besides blogging right now, like:
  • Chemistry homework
  • Human Development homework.
  • Job hunting
  • English homework
  • Cleaning the bathroom
Just to name a few haha.  But I haven't blogged in a long time and so I thought I would update you'll.  I have a heavy class load this semester, but they're all pretty easy classes.

I love all my roommates!!  And our house is super cute if I do say so myself.  :) I've had fun hanging out with them eating, watching movies, and playing games.
I think this is going to be a really great semester!!  :)
